Building a More Perfect Future, Together
Chairman Jaime Harrison’s Remarks from the 2021 DNC Winter Meeting

Hello, everyone. Thank you to President Biden and Vice President Harris for having the faith and confidence in me to lead our party and to serve our nation during these historic and uncertain times.
Most importantly, I want to thank all of you: my friends and colleagues, DNC Members who are activists, organizers and community leaders. Thank you for your support, your vote and your confidence. Thank you for your inspiration as well. …
April was an incredible month for the Democratic Party.
Joe Biden became our party’s presumptive nominee, and we saw endorsements from President Barack Obama, Senator Bernie Sanders, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and most recently, Secretary Hillary Clinton. This decisive show of party unity was coupled with a remarkable month of online fundraising. These historic achievements speak to the unity of our party, the enthusiasm of the grassroots, and the strength of the movement we’ve built together.
Now, I’m proud to share some exciting news: Not only did we blow past our ambitious April goal in the final hours before our April…

One of the best tools the DNC has to protect and expand the vote in a rapidly shifting landscape is our fantastic online voter resource hub, IWillVote.com. If you’d like to read more about the tool as a whole, I’d recommend checking out this article from last year, or if you’d like to read more about the polling place lookup widget, check this out. In 2018, this tool reached over 50 million people. So far this year, we’ve seen over 1 million polling place lookups. IWillVote is a source of truth for voters nationally. …

By Cheyenne Davis
Hi there, I’m Cheyenne Davis, Director of the Best Practices Institute, which is the new shared training department of the DNC and the Association of State Democratic Committees!
Today I’m here with some really exciting news for all of you — as of last week, our Best Practices Institute (BPI) has trained over 10,000 people already in 2019!
That means 10,000 more grassroots volunteers, activists, and candidates — all across this country — are trained and ready to help us defeat Donald Trump and the Republicans right now.
What this also means is that we are strengthening…

Hi, I’m Meg DiMartino, the digital organizing director at the DNC! 👋
My team here is responsible for using digital tools to organize voters and online communities to take offline action like volunteering or voting, and I could not be luckier to get to do that every day.
I know everyone cannot wait for 2020 to get Donald Trump out of the White House — but there are 2019 elections happening across the country right now!
Gubernatorial elections are happening in Louisiana, Kentucky, and Mississippi (did you know Kentucky has only had two Republican governors out of the last ten?!).
…

Last fall, we saw firsthand what Democrats can achieve when we work together. Our victories in 2018 were made possible through an incredible grassroots team that invested early to create the robust, well-resourced party infrastructure necessary to win.
We need to execute the same winning strategy right now, in 2019, in order to stay on track to take back the White House in 2020. …

Trump is trying to overturn the entire Affordable Care Act and threaten the health care coverage of millions of Americans, without offering a plan to replace it. Trump says Republicans senators are working on a plan, but Republican senators say they’re waiting on him — it’s clear there is no plan.
Yesterday, Trump said that Republican senators are working on a health care plan to replace the ACA.
Washington Post: “Trump says GOP senators are working on a ‘spectacular’ health-care plan”
Trump: “We are working very hard on that. …

This week, Betsy DeVos testified before House and Senate subcommittees on Trump’s budget proposal and defended its provisions that would put some of the most vulnerable students at risk. Here are some of the lowlights:
1. DeVos refused to say whether schools should be allowed to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Washington Post: “Education Secretary Betsy DeVos was asked repeatedly Tuesday by a member of Congress whether she believes schools should be allowed to discriminate against students based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. She did not directly answer.”
2. DeVos repeatedly dodged questions…
DNC Chair Tom Perez on the crucial investments the Democratic Party has made to build a strong DNC for the Democratic nominee.
In order to win the presidency next year, Democrats need to keep Donald Trump’s poll numbers as low as possible. If his approval ratings remain at historically low levels, we’ve got a good shot at taking back the White House and seats across the country. Here’s a quick look at where his approval numbers have been recently:
A look at where your dollars are going

There’s a lot of excitement brewing around the 2020 Presidential Election, and we wanted to give you — our supporters — a look at some of the investments we’re making to get ready. We know that our eventual Democratic nominee is going to need a strong DNC, and with your continued support, we’ll be able to give them that.
We know the key to defeating Donald Trump in 2020 will be to organize early and put the best team in place to win. That’s why we’re excited to invest in training the…
